This is a pamphlet I designed as a hypothetical piece for TypeCon 2016. The entire piece is comprised of one typeface, and hierarchy is built out of the long list of weights of the font.
I wanted this piece to transcend the ideas of a typical pamphlet or events program, and I wanted to make something with a little more substance and meaning behind it. I used heavy, 100% cotton paper, a tape binding, and designed it to be small enough to be easily carried around.
TypeCon is an exciting event for designers, and I wanted to visually display some of that excitement in this piece, which is why I used the scattered half-tone marks for my imagery, and for activating the background.
